Big News!
Ancestry.com will be coming to Kansas City to present a full day of lectures on and about Ancestry.com. Among the presenters will be Ancestry’s “Ancestry Anne,” their columnist and genealogy advice guru.
The one-day seminar will be Saturday, March 16th, 2013. It will be held at the Adams Pointe Convention Center in Blue Springs, Missouri (an eastern suburb of Kansas City).
The Seminar is presented by Midwest Genealogy Center, Independence, Missouri.
The fee for the seminar is $30 in advance and $35 at the door. I understand though that similar events have been sold out in hours, so you want to register early.
UPDATE: Midwest Genealogy Center will be hosting additional classes at their facilities on the Thursday and Friday before Ancestry Day and on the Sunday immediately after. I’ll be teaching two classes – Citing, Finding, and Sharing Sources in the Digital World and The Best Online Genealogy Book Websites. All of these classes are free. You can register for these at the same time you register for the Ancestry Day event.
Go here (Midwest Genealogy Center’s website) for more information and to register for the event!
See you in March!
